La Dub War – Round 1 is the result of a producers war that started within the French bass scene in November 2018. It soon turned out to be the best way to gather a scene that spreads over various cities and crews, showcasing its diversity and talent.
From Grime to Footwork, Beats or Garage, it includes tracks by some of the main players in the French scene, including DJ Absurd, one of the pioneers of the scene, or Skwig, as well as members of some of the country’s key crews (SeekSickSound, Le French Work, True Lyon Crew) or up and coming producers. In true dub war fashion, the tracks were left in their raw, unrefined state to display the energy and ethos of the whole project.
